The best practices of Monbat’s corporate governance are presented during a seminar organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy

Corporate

On November 27, 2019 Daniela Peeva, in her capacity as a Chairperson of the National Committee on Corporate Governance, takes part in an Informative seminar to popularize The National Corporate Governance Code and to raise awareness of the advantages of implementing good practices with respect to corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. The seminar is organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.

During her presentation Mrs. Peeva laids out the best practices of Monbat AD which are designed to spread understanding of modern corporate governance. In particular she stressed the stabilizing role it plays in the company’s sustainable development and leadership.

She explaines the aim of the code as follows: The purpose of the Code is for public companies to voluntarily comply with its principles and to communicate its implementation or to explain to all stakeholders why they are unable to do so, in case of deviation. The Code complies with the regulatory requirements without repeating them, and creates additional rules for balanced interaction between shareholders, company executives and stakeholders.

Monbat AD is listed on the Premium Equities Segment of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia AD and operates in full compliance with the principles and recommendations of the Code. The Code will hold the principle “comply or explain” – hence companies act in compliance with the rules and, if they deviate, their management needs to clarify why. By preparing detailed reports based on this principle, the public companies allow shareholders, investors and stakeholders to obtain clear and accurate information about the company’s management.
