Monbat supports successful childrensSocial inclusion with Eleventh Beach football tournament

For the eleventh consecutive year, youngsters from across the country gathered at Skorpilovtsi resort to participate in the annual beach football tournament, organized by the Bulgarian Beach Football Federation and supported by Monbat as the general sponsor.

Between the 18th and 20th July, 90 children born between 2005 and 2006, participating in 7 teams from Varna, Balchik, Plovdiv, Lovech and Ruse competed for the Dolni Chiflik Mayor Cup. In 16 matches full of emotions, effort and football skills, the children enjoyed their time in reaching the final scores. The cup was awarded to Lovech team, Spartak from Varna took the second place and the team from Primary School Father Paisii finished in third places. The Fair play team award was given to team Hero from Varna, and there were also individual prizes for Goal master and Best goalkeeper. The impartiality of the results was guaranteed by professional judges.

The tournament was opened by Valentin Zayakov, Chairman of the Beach Football Committee, part of the Bulgarian Football Union and Krassimira Atanasova, Mayor of Dolni Chiflik.

The purpose of the tournament is to provide opportunities for successful social integration of children from diverse social groups. Through the power of team sports, they enjoy an exciting sporting environment, develop their competitiveness and social skills, build new friendships, no matter of their background, ethnicity, family or health status.

The Bulgarian Association of Beach Sports launched the tournament in 2008 and since then has enjoyed successful development of its scope with the support of the most socially responsible businesses in Bulgaria. The Monbat economic group is proud to support the event which successfully achieves fantastic results in social inclusion, proves its sustainable model and develops young talent.
